Buying cheap treadmills on eBay.

If you're looking for cheap treadmills then the perfect place to start is eBay

For those who are not familiar with eBay, and if you're online much this isn't too likely, eBay is an online auction. The worlds biggest online auction which has turned into a massive company turning over astronomical sums of money every year.

People who wish to sell anything at all can list it on eBay and any interested buyer can lodge a bid, (as long as they are registered with eBay). There are millions of products listed on eBay at any one time, more than enough to satisfy the most committed bargain hunter.

When you visit eBay for the first time you will come to eBays home page. To register just click "register" near the top of the page and fill in the form. Registration is quite free, and your email address is safe. You need to register before doing much else so do it first.

Then go to the search bar near the top left hand corner and type in "treadmills". You will be taken to a list of all of the treadmillsfor sale.

You can see that there is a picture of each item together with a description of the item and the current bid price. Note that it is not only used items sold on eBay there are many normal companies that sell their products on eBay as well and so there are new products there too. It's not just cheap used treadmills that you will find there, there are new ones.

If you are interested in a particular item click on that item and you will be taken to another page with details of the item, a larger picture, and a box on the top right with "seller information". If you want to find out more about the item you can contact the seller and ask questions by clicking "ask seller a question".

Have a look at the shipping information to see how the treadmill is to be shipped and the cost.

Remember that you are not buying the treadmill from eBay, just from the seller. eBay is just the conduit through which the seller can sell his item, and pay eBay a fee for doing so. But if you are looking for treadmills, cheap is the word on eBay.

Have a good look through the treadmills available, there are usually lots of cheap treadmills for sale. Cheap motorised treadmills, cheap folding treadmills, cheap treadmills of most descriptions.

When you are looking at the treadmills details you will see that there is often a "buy it now" price. If you like the item and want to buy it immediately you can do so at the "buy it now" price. This means that you have bought it and cannot then lose the item to someone else who bids a higher price. Only some items have a "buy it now" price, this is at the discretion of the seller.

Other items are bid on, it's an auction. You will see the bid price on the main page listing all the treadmills as well as on the individual item page. You can see how many bids there have been as well as the current price.

There is also a time limit on each auction. The time left can be seen on the right of the page. Have a good look at items with not too much time left as they may well turn out to be a good buy if the price is right.

Never buy anything without checking out the seller. You can find out more about the seller by clicking the seller on the seller information page. There is a rating system so that previous buyers can rate the performance of the seller in previous auctions. Checking out the seller is critical. Be very careful of buying from anyone who has no feedback or poor feedback.

The above is just an introduction to eBay Don't buy anything on this introduction. Once you have registered the first thing you need to do is to go to the eBay instructions for buyers and learn all about it. Son't buy anything until you have read and understood all the eBay instructions for buyers.

Then watch a few auctions to completion to see exactly how it works and get some idea about the values. Often you see the same item come up 2 or 3 times so you can get a good idea about values. Know the new price of any treadmill you will be bidding on.

To find the buyers instructions click "help". You will be taken to a page with topic headings and sub items under each of these headings. Read everything you can, read it several times if necessary until you are comfortable with how it all works. There is also a very useful forum where you can ask almost any question you want about using eBay.

This has been a brief overview of eBay. Very brief. Take out a couple of hours to spend registering and reading before you even consider bidding on anything.

There are large numbers of treadmills for sale on eBay at any one time. Both new and second hand. Many of them will be very cheap. EBay is a great place to buy if you are looking for cheap treadmills. Have a good idea of the value of any item though before you bid.

It takes a little more work buying on eBay rather than just one of our regular online stores, but the reward of a great treadmill at a cheap price should be worth it.

Beware though that eBay can be addictive, and you may end up buying a whole lot more than just a treadmill!

eBay has been a breath of fresh air for many people looking for an alternative source of income.
